Every word you read on this page and every pixel your eye meets is actually written in code. We find it quite absurd, because a code feels like something cold and estranged, and we’re here to give birth to one of the most meaningful, exciting projects in our lives: Unicamel!
Unicamel was created and raised inside the virtual womb of an exceptional human female - the creator, the fashion lover and the artist Aino Katzir.
What you’ll find on the Unicamel’s surface stays with you all the way down to the depth of its being. At first impression, the Unicamel is merely a synthesis between two creatures - one is mythological, the other one is shy. But with a closer look, and following in-depth conversations with the creator, you realize it represents the story of an entire work of art - about life between two poles. This artwork aspires to connect the unconnectable - clean and dirty, beautiful and ugly, the Western world and the Middle East, shame and exhibitionism.3333 camels full of tension and connection, one of them surely holds the key to finding your own synthesis. So now you understand how absurd - and exceptional - the fact that behind this beautiful project lies a written code.

OUR VISION
The vision for this work is both personal and universal.
Universally, Unicamel represents the artist's conception of a Middle Eastern unicorn. As soon as the Abraham Peace Accords were signed, the Unicamels were quickly pulled out of Aino's old sketchbook (ten years after they appeared on popular fashion items).
The impossible combination of the sturdy Middle-Eastern camel and the rare and unattainable unicorn perfectly expresses how extraordinary the handshakes of the Abraham Accords were back in September 2020.
We are here to tell - and shout - about it. To present contradictions on a digital screen and to celebrate their beauty. To spotlight a historical moment that deserves a unique icon, which proves that everything is possible.

THE ARTIST
Aino Katzir grew up between the green hills of the Klil community and the dry dunes of the Sinai Desert. This diversity made her choose contradictions as the fuel for her creative engine. She can talk for hours about camels, myths, and the magic of the desert, but she'll say nothing about herself or her story. Aino prefers to let her art do the talking. Whether with a paintbrush on a canvas, chalk on a board, or a computer mouse, Aino offers her heart and soul on a web platter, with the gaze of a shy camel and the confidence of a bold unicorn.
